Zaynub is a potter and pottery teacher based in London, and is primarily a wheel-thrower. After completing her BA in History at King’s College London, Zaynub attended her first pottery class and fell in love with the medium. She is now at University College London studying for her MA to specialise in archaeological ceramics, and her close work with pre-historic pottery inspires the forms that she makes. Through her work, Zaynub seeks to investigate thousands of years of human observation of, and interaction with, the natural landscape.

Zaynub believes that we must deepen our relationship with the objects that we use everyday and as such they should be built with care, affection and quality. She works primarily in stoneware and makes tactile vessels which allow clay to express its natural traits. She believes that anyone can become a maker, and by doing so we bring beauty into a world ruled by sterile mass consumption.

Commissions and Wholesale

Pottery is a multi-step process, and the lead time on commissioned pieces is 6-12 weeks to allow for throwing, trimming, glazing and firing. All pieces are hand-made and hand-delivered to London postcodes.
